More guerrilla knitting and International Yarn Bombing Day

Aah, here it is again, my obsession with guerrilla knitting.

And whose fault is it? The following discovery last week in Friedrichshain on my home, which I made unintentionally but was very welcomed.

Immediately, I got the desire again to do this myself.

At the same time, there was a Facebook post by the International Yarn Bombing Day. A day that is designed to yarn bomb your city with some more color. Unfortunately, I read about this day to late last year and this year I was somewhere in the middle of Mexico.

But lucky me, there exist more than one event of this kind. Another one this year is “21 Days To Yarn Bomb“. There you have to “bombard” your city for 21 days. This doesn’t have to be something big, even a small flower placed somewhere is enough to participate. This time I am definitely joining.

Another quite interesting one is the call from “The Royal Granny Parade“. The group wants to decorate 85 trees in Melbourne for the International Yarn Bombing Day 2013. With this huge number of trees they obviously need help from all source which is why they ask for crocheted and knitted help on their Facebook page.

Maybe you as well got in mood to join some of these events or you know of other ones I didn’t mention yet? I am curious to here about it in the comment.
